Week Four--Let it Snow!
NY Botanical

If I lived at the
New York Botanical Gardens,
this might be my view.

Here in Massapequa,
this is almost the view

Here is my butterfly from the Saturday tutorial. The butterflies were created using the preset vector butterfly. The first was created with the foreground set to black and background set to green. Then it was filled with a cyan-magenta-yellow gradient with the texture set to footpath. In this tutorial we used Animation Shop's compress rather than pinch to achieve the flutter. I applied the compress to a copy of the butterfly. Then I applied it to a second copy of the same image, but this time checked the "Run effect in reverse" box. I selected all frames of the reversed animation and pasted them at the end of the first animation. I found this much easier than copying and pasting individual frames.

The second butterfly was created with tan foreground and cyan-magenta-yellow gradient background. The fill was lime green with panel texture.

The third butterfly was created with both foreground and background set to black and the fill was ultraviolet gradient with crumpled paper texture. This was actually my first attempt. I was dissappointed with how thick and black the butterfly's outline became when it was saved as an animation.
