You may find that FrontPage or some other program opens when you try to view a CSS document like this one. To make CSS files open in the application of your choosing, follow these steps in Windows XP:
In Windows Explorer, right-click the icon of a saved CSS file.
In the shortcut menu that appears, move your cursor down to Open With
Next you will see a list of programs. If you choose one from the list, Windows will use it to open the file now, but will not make a permanent switch to your preferred application.
Slide your cursor down to and left click Choose Program...
The Open With dialog box offers some recommended programs. If you do not see the one you want to use, scoll down to find it. Click on your preferred application.
Check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
Click OK
You can use this method to change file associations for other document types also.
If you are using a different version of Windows or another OS, use your Help system to search for File Associations. I welcome step-by-step instructions; please send to
