- Oh! Towers of my city,
- Tall Monuments of my country,
- The sweat and toil of my countrymen.
The walls came tumbling down
- The sky was blue and clear,
- A seemingly glorious day,
- From out of the sky came Satan,
- Riding a sacrificial sword.
The walls came tumbling down
- My heart is heavy with sorrow
- And grief for those innocent
- Souls who rode that sword.
The walls came tumbling down
- The blast that help fall my monument
- Arose from Dante's Hell.
The walls came tumbling down
- Tears flow from my eyes
- As I watch the windows
- Of my world collapse.
- My American brothers are being slain.
The walls came tumbling down
- The pain and sorrow of so many families,
- The world's heart goes out to them.
The walls came tumbling down
- We now stand tall as these towers did,
- With courage and passion for freedom.
The walls came tumbling down
- Tears flow from my eyes as I
- Watch the windows of my world,
- Towers crumbling, falling into dust.
The walls came tumbling down
- Encased in these towers were
- Flesh, blood and souls of innocence
- Felled by the worst of evil doers
The walls came tumbling down
- The courage and the bravery of
- Our firefighters, police and volunteers
- Will be forever in our memories.
The walls came tumbling down
- Those Towers, those monuments of
- My city, my country
- Will forever be a symbol of our past freedom.
- They will rise again
- To memorialize and commemorate
- Our felled world citizens.
